SLEEP THE RUN.Our way of life forces us to move faster and faster. In yoga, the experience of life is very much about what is happening to us in the here and now. To truly see the world, to marvel at its depth, we must learn to stop. Not only physically – it’s also important to learn to slow down our inner dialogue: constantly thinking about our actions, we get stuck. This doesn’t require much effort: put on comfortable clothes, go outside, look around, “turn off” your thoughts and just be happy with the good things that are happening now.

OPEN UP TO THE BEAUTYWhen we draw, we focus on what we are doing, our movements, the brush, the paints. We can transfer our reflections to a sheet of paper, or we can depict what caught our attention. Afterwards, it becomes our resource; it’s where we can draw strength and inspiration. For example, you saw a beautiful tree on the street, and then you draw it. Each time, looking at this sketch, you will return to their feelings and experiences, and once again charged with a positive, creative energy.

SEE A LITTLEWe adults can often be very serious. We do not often allow ourselves to go beyond the conventional and make nice, funny actions: tie a bow, make a surprise, write a poem. Relax, stop controlling yourself and everything around you, act like children – many of us do not even realize how nice it is to be like that. We should learn to notice the details and finally see our own life, to linger in it.

TOUCHING ANOTHER.Our introduction to the world begins with the touch of our hands, and tactile sensations are forever a reliable source of information for us about another person. When greeting, saying goodbye or congratulating each other, we hug. A hug is a way of expressing affection. It only takes a few minutes to feel the other person, to embrace, to touch their hand or shoulder with our fingertips.

SAVOR THE TASTE.Not just swallow a hastily heated meal, but taste it with all of your senses: taste, color, flavor, sound. Drinks are worthy of no less attention. To really enjoy it, you have to immerse yourself in the process with all your heart, mind, and soul. Catch the thread of flavor and reel it in like a ball of yarn. And this principle works in everything: in life, as in food, every shade of flavor diverges into other shades-and the process is endless and beautiful.

LISTEN TO YOURSELFIn a sense, the search for pleasure is a search for ourselves. We all have attachments, passions, interests. It is to them that we must turn if we want our own “private” pleasure. For example, many people enjoy working in the vegetable garden, and not because they can’t live without their cucumbers or herbs. They just like the physical effort, the spirit of the earth, the communion with the plants.
